Who is responsible

FreelancerPlanning is the service operating at FreelancerPlanning.com. Use the contact form for privacy questions, access requests, corrections, or deletion requests.

Information processed in the calculator

The calculator keeps working answers, including the optional project description, in the current browser tab. This lets the page recover after a refresh. That draft is not silently saved to the FreelancerPlanning database.

If you request an emailed report and consent to storage, we receive your email address, project label, platform, scores, risk band, estimated effort, price floor, calculation assumptions, delivery model, and generated discovery questions. The project description is excluded.

Contact and support messages

When you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address, topic, and message you enter. The submission receives a reference number, is delivered to a private owner inbox, and triggers a service confirmation to the email address you provided. That confirmation does not subscribe you to marketing. The private recipient address is not shown publicly. Use a neutral description and do not send credentials or sensitive client information.

Sample-report subscriptions

The free worked-sample PDF is available to email subscribers and carries a visible sample watermark on every page. Before downloading, the form explains the subscription and asks for explicit consent to occasional product research and launch updates. We store your email address, consent time, consent version, and the source label for that download. We do not attach calculator answers or project descriptions to this subscription.

A completed subscription request triggers a confirmation email explaining what FreelancerPlanning does and how to change your email choice. Marketing consent is separate from requesting an emailed copy of your own calculation. Future marketing messages will include a way to unsubscribe. You can also withdraw consent through the contact form.

Why information is used

Report delivery and marketing subscriptions rely on the choices you make in their forms. Support information is used to respond to your request and protect the service.

Service providers

The production service is designed to use Vercel for website hosting, Supabase for database storage, and Resend for requested email delivery. These providers may process technical logs or submitted information to provide their part of the service. Their own terms and privacy notices also apply.

The current automation calculator uses fixed scoring rules. It does not send project descriptions to an AI model.

Retention

Emailed-report records are kept for up to 90 days. Support tickets are kept for up to 12 months unless a longer period is required to resolve a request, protect the service, or meet a legal obligation. Example-report subscriptions are kept until consent is withdrawn or for up to 24 months after the most recent recorded interaction. Browser-tab drafts remain under your browser's control.

Cookies and local storage

The calculator uses browser session storage to preserve the unfinished estimate in the current tab. The current service does not use advertising cookies. The hosting provider may keep limited technical logs needed to deliver and protect the website.

Your choices and rights

You can use the calculator without an account, decline the emailed report, clear the current estimate, and avoid entering client-identifying details. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, and to withdraw consent. Submit a request through the contact form.

International processing

Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, they use contractual and organisational safeguards for those transfers.

Children

FreelancerPlanning is a business tool and is not directed to children. Do not submit personal information about a child.

Changes to this notice

This notice will change as accounts, analytics, payments, or additional processors are introduced. The updated date at the top will change when a material revision is published.
